The MCG Women's Career Development Symposium is a 1-day symposium designed to engage women faculty in plenaries, workshops, and networking activities to develop skills, build relationships, gain knowledge, and facilitate career success in academic medicine. Opening Plenary: "Preparing for Transitions to Leadership" Networking Tables Workshops: "Conflict Resolution" and "Career Vitality" Leadership Panel: "Surviving and Thriving in Times of Personal Challenge"

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Network effectively with other women faculty and build a broader network to facilitate career advancement
  2. Reframe an issue that has you "stuck" and brainstorm different solutions.
  3. Foster confidence in promoting yourself, your work, and your value in an organization to meet a professional goal.
  4. Increased knowledge of the barriers and facilitators to women's career advancement
