Overview
Join Us! Patient- and Family-Centered Care Conference PFCC Always...In All Ways March 10, 10:30am – 12:30 pm (Hybrid event – virtual and limited seating available) As we continue to witness the remarkable work of our entire health care team in response to the intense demands of caring for patients and families—and each other—during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have also learned new ways to work together. This Patient- and Family-Centered Care Conference highlights ways to support our patients and each other, Always…In All Ways. Be inspired as you hear real life stories from our own leaders, clinicians, and front-line staff—all who have poignant lessons centering on the foundation of patient- and family-centered care. Be a part of an unwavering commitment to strengthen a collaborative, intentional, and inclusive platform that incorporates the tenets of PFCC: respect and dignity, participation, information sharing, and collaboration — Always…In All Ways. Register: augusta.edu/PFCC2022 Nominate a staff member for a PFCC Award before February 28: Family Choice Award (https://www.augustahealth.org/pfcc/family-choice-awards) Pat Sodomka Leadership Award (https://www.augustahealth.org/pfcc/patricia-sodomka-leadership-award). What did others say about the PFCC Conference last year? “I’m so proud to be a part of this organization!! It touched me in so many ways. Great conference!!!” “This really helped to re-center my thoughts and I was reminded that even through tough times, our employees are caring, dedicated and amazing people who truly care about the patients they serve!” “Thank you for an awesome conference! I love our hospital and the way that we encourage family engagement.” “Very inspiring and my allergies were really acting up! All the right people talking about all the right things.” “The thoughtful message that was relayed in all the speakers today was incredibly heart moving. My allergies acted up all day.” “I am so dang proud to be a part of our organization!”

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. • Increase awareness of the tenets of PFCC to promote inclusivity and PFCC Concepts: dignity/respect, participation, information sharing, and collaboration.
  2. • Build understanding, compassion, and knowledge in identifying differences while keeping the patient and their perspective at the heart of all interactions.
  3. • Identify strengths and improvement opportunities for clinicians and caregivers in addressing differences to encourage a sense of belonging…always, in all ways.
