Overview
As part of Experiential Learning, this course is designed to take advantage of experiential learning techniques in teaching. This course is 5 days - days 1 and 2 are the didactic, small group, hands on and simulation based training. Day 3 is peer teaching. The first three days of this course will be an intensive teaching and learning experience focused on equipping faculty to teach POCUS to students and residents. These three days are designed for attendees to train in groups of 2 and receive extensive hands-on practice that goes beyond how to image and discuss the how and why of POCUS training Day 4 and 5 the participants are the teachers in an ultrasound course (supervised teaching of other learners). We will have a second CME application for the other learners (Teaching with Ultrasound POCUS Course).

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Students will understand the use of ultrasound as a technology based educational tool
  2. Students will learn the key elements and models of incorporating ultrasound technology into their bedside educational style
  3. Students will know how to communicate educational objectives using ultrasound as an educational tool

Accreditation
The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
