Overview
The goal of our Grand Rounds program is to provide education and training of our departmental faculty and trainees as well as trainees and attending physicians in other AU departments and outside facilities with whom we have a contractual relationship. The focus of our program for the next two years will be to increase the understanding of the impact of common medical and psychiatric co-morbidities within the framework of healthcare reform. This will include training and education in the clinical challenges of diagnosis and treatment of medical/psychiatric comorbidities and exploration of how through research and education we can move towards an integrated care model of treatment.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Recognize changes associated with healthcare reform
  2. Understand the impact of common medical and psychiatric comorbidities
  3. Describe common approaches to integrated or collaborative care
  4. Understand the clinical challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with co-occurring medical and psychiatric illness
