Overview
The Medical College of Georgia's Department of Neurology is celebrating its 50th anniversary! Join us for "Five New Things" in the following areas: neurointervention, headache, epilepsy, pediatric neurology, neuro-oncology, neurogenetics, neuromuscular, movement disorders, and dementia.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. To improve the audiences understanding of the role of new treatments in ALS and myasthenia gravis.
  2. To increase participant knowledge of the latest treatments for GBM, lymphoma and other primary brain tumors.
  3. To facilitate neurologists’ ability to integrate recent antiepileptic medications into their routine practice and recognize indication for surgical referral.
  4. To enhance participant appreciation of the latest advances in the treatment of motor complications of Parkinson’s disease and the future role of earlier disease detection.
  5. To understand the role of serum, CSF and PET biomarkers of amyloid for early diagnosis of AD and the indication for and monitoring needed for anticipated anti-amyloid therapies.
  6. To better understand and interpret genetic screening of patients with neurologic disorders.
  7. To develop strategies to manage chronic daily headache and refractory migraine disorder.

Accreditation
The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
