Overview
The division of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism hosts lectures and journal clubs delivered by our own faculty and staff. These meetings are held once or twice weekly throughout the academic year and we have a core lecture series held in July, Augusta, and September of each year.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Integrate emerging diabetes technologies—such as continuous glucose monitoring and automated insulin delivery systems—into individualized management plans.
  2. Apply updated diagnostic and treatment approaches for adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders based on current evidence and guidelines.
  3. Recognize and manage endocrine complications associated with cancer therapies using contemporary clinical frameworks.
  4. Evaluate barriers to technology access and develop strategies to optimize outcomes for patients with complex or underserved backgrounds.
  5. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to implement personalized endocrine care informed by the latest research and innovations.

Accreditation
The Medical College of Georgia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
