Overview
The state of infectious diseases within the practice of medicine continues to constantly evolve with development of new infectious organisms, treatment therapy, and new manifestations of disease, in addition to changing epidemiological patterns. This weekly conference serves to highlight pertinent and interesting infectious diseases clinical cases with an accompany didactic session to help raise awareness of infectious diseases and keep healthcare providers updated on current trends.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Recognize the important clinical features, including atypical or unusual characteristics, of infectious diseases
  2. Evaluate patients with diagnostic and laboratory testing commensurate with current clinical recommendations or professional guidelines
  3. Incorporate the most updated evidence-based medicine into your clinical practice of infectious diseases
  4. Recognize new or alternative treatment modalities for different infectious diseases
