Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Summarize the updated classification, symptoms, and genetic framework of vascular anomalies in pediatrics to improve early diagnosis and management.
  2. Review the types of diabetes in children and young adults, and discuss current and advanced management strategies for Type I and Type II diabetes.
  3. Highlight advances in fetal imaging, including diagnostic and treatment options, and discuss the ethical challenges involved in antenatal counseling and intervention.
  4. Analyze historical and current management strategies for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, with a focus on the role of Alcohol Septal Ablation and its impact.
  5. Review the evolution and techniques of interventional bronchoscopy, and discuss its therapeutic role in central airway obstruction and lung cancer screening.
  6. Identify atypical presentations of narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea in pediatric patients, and explore new treatment modalities.
  7. Examine factors contributing to emerging infections over the last 40 years, and understand strategies for managing infectious diseases such as HIV and COVID-19.
  8. Discuss recent innovations in neurological surgery, focusing on surgical techniques, molecular advancements, and paradigm shifts in treatment approaches.
