Overview
The 2026 Georgia Cancer Center Annual Symposium will address identified gaps in knowledge, competence, and performance by providing evidence-based updates on hematologic malignancies, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, gynecologic malignancies, breast cancer, psycho-oncology, and palliative care. Through expert presentations and case-based discussions, participants will gain practical strategies to incorporate emerging evidence, precision medicine approaches, and multidisciplinary care models into clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients with cancer.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Evaluate emerging evidence and clinical practice updates in hematologic malignancies and solid tumor oncology.
  2. Incorporate current molecular and genomic biomarkers into treatment decision-making for patients with cancer.
  3. Apply evidence-based treatment strategies for lung, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, breast, and hematologic malignancies.
  4. Integrate psycho-oncology and palliative care principles into comprehensive cancer care plans.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve multidisciplinary coordination and patient-centered care across the cancer continuum.
  6. Implement contemporary guideline-based approaches and novel therapeutic advances to optimize patient outcomes in community oncology practice.
  7. Assess the impact of emerging clinical trial data on treatment selection and management of patients with cancer.

The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Dog Policy

We are delighted to welcome you and your dog at Hyatt Regency Savannah. We will charge a $150 non-refundable cleaning fee for stays of one to six nights. Check-in Policies

The minimum age to reserve a guestroom at Hyatt is 21 years old.
